Weekly Email 76: "Bon santé avec l'amour de JESUS!"

So last week we went to do our grocery shopping and a random man comes up on his bike and starts singing "Jesus est mon rocher! Jesus est mon rocher! JESUS EST MON ROCHEEEEERRR!! (Jesus is my rock)" and starts going up and down and singing all crazy hahahah and then he was like "This would be so much better if I had my ukelele!". And then he ends off with "Bon santé avec l'amour de JESUS (Good health with the love of Jesus)" (Jesus pronounced in the English way, not French). It was so weird, I was laughing so hard.
Anyways...this week was so good! It was a spiritual powerhouse! Thursday I did a split in Afaahiti with Sr Valle. It was so awesome! During contacting we met a really nice woman who had never talked to the missionaries before. We sang "Families Can Be Together Forever" and it made her cry! She felt the Spirit really strong. We also met another woman who was inactive and she kept saying she was so happy to have talked to us. Our last lesson of the day was with a couple and it was so good! At the end the guy said that at the beginning he didn't like that his girlfriend was taking the lessons. But now he said "I love when you guys come over, it does so much for us. I don't think you even realize how much what you do helps us. Thank you so much, thanks to all the missionaries in the world!". It was so cool.
Saturday was just amazing!!! I got to go back to Mahina for Spencer and Poerani's baptism!! I have seen so many miracles with them. I still remember when Sr Kohl and I found them back in September. They were also the couple that I wrote about a few months ago that wanted to stop the lessons but then changed their minds after our missionary fireside on eternal families and said they wanted to be baptized! And then last minute Spencer found out he couldn't get baptized the 26 anymore. Poerani was sad but decided to get baptized anyways. And then the NIGHT BEFORE Salt Lake got back to us and said Spencer could get baptized. What should've taken months or maybe even a year took 2 days. So many miracles! I was so happy I got to be there. And then that day we also had 2 baptisms in Papeari! Antonio and Marianne! It was so sweet!! When Antonio first met the missionaries he said "I'm Protestant and that's never going to change", and now he has a powerful testimony! Today two of our amis got married and it was so awesome!! They are getting baptized Saturday! I am so happy for all of these people!!
I just feel so grateful to Heavenly Father for all the blessings and miracles He showers down on us. I know He loves me and all of His children. His goodness never ceases to amaze me! Ahh just the other day Sr Siri and I were talking about how cool missions are. I love it so much! What a privilege it is to serve the Lord.
Fun story to end off: the other day a spider was under/in my skirt because I was sitting on the floor. It was a small spider for Tahiti but sadly a huge spider for anyone from the US. Fun times!

Allora la settimana scorsa siamo andate a fare la spesa e un tipo sconosciuto si è avvicinato in bici e ha cominciato a cantare "Jesus est mon rocher! Jesus est mon rocher! JESUS EST MON ROCHEEEEERRR!!" (Gesù è la mia roccia) e ha cominciato ad andare su e giù cantando all'impazzata ahahah e poi ha detto " Verrebbe molto meglio se avessi il mio ukelele!". E poi ha finito con "Bon santé avec l'amour de JESUS (Buona salute con l'amore di Gesù)" con Jesus pronunciato all'inglese e non alla francese. Era così strano, ho riso a crepapelle.
Comunque... questa settimana è stata così bella! È stata una fonte di energia spirituale! Giovedì ho fatto uno scambio ad Afaahiti con Sorella Valle. È stato bellissimo! Mentre contattavamo le persone abbiamo incontrato una donna molto brava che non aveva mai parlato con i missionari fino ad allora. Abbiamo cantato "Le famiglie sono eterne" e l'ha fatta piangere! Ha sentito lo Spirito così forte. Abbiamo anche incontrato un'altra donna che era inattiva e continuava a dire che era così contenta di aver parlato con noi. L'ultima lezione del giorno è stata con una coppia ed è stata così bella! Alla fine lui ha detto che all'inizio non era contento che la sua ragazza stesse prendendo le lezioni. Ma ora ha detto "Mi piace quando voi venite, fa tanto per noi. Non penso che voi vi rendiate nemmeno conto di quanto ci aiuti quello che fate per noi. Grazie tante, grazie a tutti i missionari del mondo!" È stato così bello.
Sabato è stato semplicemente formidabile!!! Sono potuta ritornare a Mahina per il battesimo di Spencer e Poerani!! Ho visto tanti miracoli con loro. Mi ricordo ancora di quando io e Sorella Kohl li abbiamo trovati a settembre. Loro sono anche la coppia di cui ho scritto alcuni mesi fa che volevano smettere le lezioni ma che poi hanno cambiato idea dopo la serata a caminetto missionaria sulle famiglie eterne e che hanno detto di voler essere battezzati! E poi all'ultimo momento Spencer ha scoperto che non poteva battezzarsi più il 26. Poerani era triste ma aveva deciso di battezzarsi lo stesso. E poi la SERA PRIMA Salt Lake ci ha contattato e ha detto che Spencer poteva essere battezzato. Ciò che avrebbe richiesto mesi o forse anche un anno si è risolto in 2 giorni. Così tanti miracoli! Ero così felice di poterci esserci. E poi quel giorno abbiamo anche avuto 2 battesimi a Papeari! Antonio e Marianne! È stato così dolce!! Quando Antonio ha incontrato i missionari per la prima volta ha detto "Sono Protestante e questo non cambierà mai" e ora ha una testimonianza possente! Oggi due dei nostri simpatizzanti si sono sposati ed è stato bellissimo!! Si battezzeranno sabato! Sono così contenta per tutte queste persone!!
Sono tanto grata al Padre Celeste per tutte le benedizioni e i miracoli che ci fa piovere addosso. So che Lui ama me e tutti i Suoi figli. La Sua bontà non cessa mai di stupirmi! Ahh proprio l'altro giorno io e Sorella Siri stavamo parlando di come le missioni siano belle. Amo tanto la mia missione! Che privilegio è quello di servire il Signore.
Una storia buffa per completare: l'altro giorno un ragno stava sotto/dentro la mia gonna perché mi ero seduta sul pavimento. Era un ragno piccolo per Tahiti ma ahimé enorme per chiunque negli Stati Uniti. Che divertimento!
