Weekly Email 72: Transferred to Papeari!

Ok I'm having a lot of technical issues so I'm having trouble responding to emails...mais c'est pas grave. I won't be able to send all my pictures either so I'll send the rest next week!
But AH ok so sadly it's my last transfer!! I don't like thinking about that though...Friday were transfer calls and I found out that I'll be spending my last 6 weeks in Papeari! I really loved serving in Mahina so it was sad to go, but I'm pumped because my new companion is SR SIRI!! My faamu (adopted) daughter! We served together 10 months ago when I finished her training! Round 2 let's go! Papeari is next to the Presque Isle, it's super beautiful here and reminds me of Huahine because it's far away from the city and really rural So me and Sr Siri are STLs and the Zone Leaders are Elder Brown and Elder Kerr!! They were with me in the MTC! It's gonna be such a party! Apparently the ward is really awesome and we have 10 fixed baptisms so that's good news! This last transfer will be a blast! I'm gonna keep going hard until the end!
Christmas this year was so awesome!! Me and my companion thought it would be a good idea to fast but that wasn't actually a great idea...we just really wanted new amis!! But then we went out with the other sisters to hand out toys and chocolate to poorer families. We sang Christmas hymns for them too. We also went to the stores that were open and handed out candy to the workers. Seeing the joy on people's faces made me feel so good!!! I forget about how hungry and thirsty and hot I was. For the first Christmas ever I got to think about others and not myself. Doing Light the World for all of December made it really special. It really strengthened my testimony that through service and Christlike behavior we can find real joy.
Sorry that's all I have time for! I love Tahiti and I love being a missionary here! I am so grateful for my time in Mahina and I'm excited to see what Papeari will bring! :)

Sto avendo un sacco di problemi tecnici e sto avendo difficoltà a rispondere agli email... ma c'est pas grave (non fa niente). Non riuscirò neanche a mandare tutte le mie foto così ne manderò alcune la prossima settimana!
Ma AH! Tristemente è il mio ultimo trasferimento!! Non mi piace pensarci però...Venerdì abbiamo avuto le telefonate dei trasferimenti e ho saputo che passerò le mie ultime 6 settimane a Papeari! Mi è piaciuto tanto servire a Mahina ed è stato triste andare via ma sono emozionata perché la mia nuova collega è SORELLA SIRI!!! La mia figlia faamu (adottiva)! Abbiamo servito insieme 10 mesi fa quando le ho finito l'addestramento! E vai con il secondo round! Papeari è vicino a Presque Isle, è bellissimo qui e mi ricorda Huahine perché è lontano dalla città e molto rurale. Così io e Sorella Siri siamo STL qui e i capizona sono Anziano Brown e Anziano Kerr!! Erano con me al MTC! Sarà una festa! Da quanto ho sentito dire sembra che il rione sia buonissimo e abbiamo 10 battesimi già fissati così questa è una buona notizia! Quest'ultimo trasferimento sarà una potenza! Lavorerò duro fino alla fine!
Natale quest'anno è stato fantastico!!! Io e la mia collega abbiamo pensato che sarebbe stata una buona idea digiunare ma non è stata effettivamente un'idea tanto buona... volevamo davvero dei nuovi simpatizzanti!! Ma poi siamo uscite con le altre sorelle per dare giocattoli e cioccolata alle famiglie povere. Abbiamo anche cantato inni di natale per loro. Siamo anche andate nei negozi che erano aperti e abbiamo distribuito caramelle agli impiegati. Vedere la gioia sul viso delle persone mi ha fatto sentire così bene!!! Mi ha fatto dimenticare quanto fossi affamata, assetata e accaldata. È stato il primo Natale in cui ho pensato agli altri piuttosto che a me stessa. Fare il programma "Sii Una Luce" tutto il mese di dicembre lo ha reso davvero speciale. Ha proprio rafforzato la mia testimonianza che attraverso il servizio e il comportamento cristiano possiamo trovare la vera gioia.
Mi spiace che questo è tutto ciò che ho il tempo di scrivere! Amo Tahiti e amo essere una missionaria qui! Sono molto grata per il tempo che ho trascorso a Mahina e sono emozionata di vedere quello che accadrà a Papeari! :)
