Hey everyone!!
Ok I have like 10 minutes to write this lets gooo
This week has been crazy! What's new
- We went to Moorea again for splits!! It was so so good to see the Soeurs there! And Moorea is so beautiful! I feel so lucky I was able to go, even just for a day! We were on the beach drinking coconut water after a lesson and I just felt so much gratitude to be a missionary in beautiful French Polynesia!
- Someone gave me chips, Sr Donnet-Monay wouldn't tell me what it was until after I ate it. Turns out it was pig skin! What? I didn't even know you could make chips out of that. Sr DM told me "You're lucky, the first time I ate it there were hairs on it"
- I don't know what Sr Rimbert and I do but we somehow manage to meet every weird person in Mahina hahaha it makes for interesting stories
- Mahina is trying to decorate for Christmas, we appreciate their efforts. I don't know how to describe it so I'll just take pictures for next week haha last year when I was on Huahine they didn't really decorate so I would forget it was even December
- I hope you all have been doing stuff this week for Light the World! This week Sr Rimbert and I made cookies for the firefighters and policemen here and went to give them some, and they were really happy!
- Sr Isaacson and Sr Semerau are new missionaries here. They tell me and Sr Fegter about the "real world", such as all the new 2018 fashion. Me and Sr Fegter are just really confused half the time, I didn't know things could change so much in 16 months!
-Sr Rimbert and I have done a lot of contacting this week to find new amis. It hasn't been super successful, but that's ok. Sometimes in entire neighborhoods not one person wants to talk to us. Early on in my mission that probably would've gotten me discouraged or a little depressed, but not anymore. I know Heavenly Father sees our efforts and that He will bless us if we keep doing our best!
- This week was a lot of ups and downs mentally and emotionally. At district meeting they asked us how our week was on a scale of 1-10. I said that some moments were honestly a 2 but that at the end of it all I have to say I'm at 11! I don't like to dwell on the low moments. When it gets hard you just get up and keep going, at the end of the week you just remember the good moments more than the bad. We're trying our best and I know it will all work out.

Questa settimana è stata pazzesca! Cosa c'è di nuovo
-Siamo andate a Moorea di nuovo per fare degli scambi!! È stato così bello rivedere le Sorelle lì! E Moorea è così bella! Mi sento molto fortunata a poterci andare, anche se solo per un giorno! Siamo andate sulla spiaggia a bere acqua di cocco dopo una lezione e ho sentito solo gratitudine per essere una missionaria nella bella Polinesia francese!
-Qualcuno mi ha dato delle patatine, Sorella Donnet-Monay non mi ha voluto dire cosa fossero fino a che non le avessi mangiate. È venuto fuori che era pelle di maiale! Cosa? Non sapevo neanche che si potessero fare delle patatine con quella. Sorella Donnet-Monay mi ha detto "Sei fortunata, la prima volta che le ho mangiate c'erano dei peli ancora attaccati"
-Non so cosa io e Sorella Rimbert facciamo ma incontriamo sempre tutti i tipi strani di Mahina ahahah, diventa un'opportunità per episodi interessanti.
-Mahina sta provando a mettere le decorazioni natalizie, apprezziamo i loro sforzi. Non so come descriverlo così farò delle foto da mandare la prossima settimana ahah. L'anno scorso quando stavo a Huahine non decoravano molto così mi dimenticavo persino che fosse dicembre.
- Spero che abbiate fatto tutti delle cose questa settimana per Sii una Luce! Questa settimana io e Sorella Rimbert abbiamo fatto dei biscotti per i pompieri e i poliziotti di qui e siamo andati a portarglieli e sono stati davvero contenti!
-Sorella Isaacson e Sorella Semerau sono le nuove missionarie qui. Raccontano a me e a Sorella Fegter del "mondo reale", cioè tutte le nuove mode del 2018. Io e Sorella Fetger siamo proprio confuse il più delle volte, non pensavo che le cose potessero cambiare così tanto in 16 mesi!
-Io e Sorella Rimbert abbiamo fatto un sacco di contatti questa settimana per trovare nuovi simpatizzanti. Non è stato molto di successo, ma va bene lo stesso. A volte nessuno in un intero quartiere vuole parlare con noi. All'inizio della mia missione ciò mi avrebbe potuto scoraggiare o farmi sentire un po' depressa ma ora non più. So che il Padre Celeste vede i nostri sforzi e che ci benedirà se continueremo a fare del nostro meglio!
-Questa settimana ho avuto molti momenti di alti e bassi mentalmente ed emotivamente. Alla riunione di distretto ci hanno chiesto come fosse andata la nostra settimana in una scala da 1 a 10. Ho detto che alcuni momenti erano onestamente un 2 ma alla fine di tutto devo dire che mi trovo ad 11! Non mi piace rimanere intrappolata nei momenti difficili. Quando le cose diventano difficili basta alzarsi e andare avanti, alla fine della settimana si ricordano solo i momenti buoni più di quelli cattivi. Facciamo del nostro meglio e so che tutto andrà bene.
