Ia orana tatou! This week was a blur!
Ok it's December now (haha even though it's burning hot) which means it's time for Light the World!! I highly encourage everyone to do it! Me and Sr Rimbert brainstormed a bunch of stuff we're going to do to serve and we're really excited! It's going to be the best Christmas ever! Saturday we went to pick up trash with the other sisters, it was a good time. Every day we're going to do something new to serve!
- Sr Yezli has this lip plumping lip gloss from Sephora that we all tried. You put it on and you feel fine, but then you wait 30 seconds and your lips start burning!! It feels so weird!! It pricks for a little bit and then it's done. I think the point is to irritate your lips so that they get bigger hahah it was an interesting experience. When we told the Elders about it Elder Hancock said "So if I put it on my biceps they'll get bigger too?" hahah nice try
- This week I did a split with Sr Maitere in Faaripo! She's whitewash training there (meaning: she is training a new sister in the area while she is new in that area, too). It was so fun to serve again together in a third secteur! Everyone we met that day was so nice and friendly, even though we didn't know them. Not everyone is always like that, but we are blessed to serve in a place where you can find people like that!
- We were teaching a lesson the other day and the lady's cat was super sick. It was lying on the ground and then let out a weird sound and went still. I was like "Oh my gosh Sr Rimbert her cat just died in front of us" hahah it was so weird. The lady didn't even notice she was just like "Oh yeah the cat's sick" and I wanted to say "Um I hate to break this to you but it's DEAD". Good times...
This week was good but kinda sad because we had to put a lot of amis on stand-by! And some others dropped us because they're no longer interested. Our pool of amis is rather small for the moment but c'est pas grave (it doesn't matter), if we have faith we'll find those that need us! One thing I've definitely learned on my mission is to not get discouraged easily and to not give up. Like the hymn says "Courage! For the Lord is on our side!".

Ia orana tatou! Questa settimana è stata un baleno!
Ok, è dicembre ora (ahah anche se c'è un caldo rovente) il che significa che è arrivato il momento di Sii Una Luce nel Mondo!! Incoraggio vivamente tutti a farlo! Io e Sorella Rimbert abbiamo pensato a diverse cose che possiamo fare come attività di servizio e siamo molto entusiaste! Sarà il più bel Natale! Sabato siamo andate a raccogliere la spazzatura con le altre sorelle, ci siamo divertite. Ogni giorno faremo qualcosa di nuovo per servire!
-Sorella Yezli ha un lucido labbra volumizzante di Sephora che abbiamo provato tutte. Lo metti e tutto è normale ma poi aspetti 30 secondi e le labbra cominciano a bruciare!!! È una sensazione così strana!!! Brucia per un po' ma poi smette. Penso che la ragione sia di fare irritare le labbra così che si gonfino ahahah è stata un'esperienza interessante. Quando l'abbiamo detto agli Anziani Anziano Hancock ha detto "Allora se lo metto sui miei bicipiti anche loro si gonfiano? ahahah, bella questa.
-Questa settimana ho fatto uno scambio con Sorella Maitere a Faaripo! Sta addestrando una nuova sorella in quella zona che è una nuova zona anche per lei. È stato così divertente servire di nuovo con lei in un terzo settore! Tutti quelli che abbiamo incontrato quel giorno sono stati così cordiali e amichevoli, anche se non li conoscevamo. Non tutti sono sempre così, ma siamo benedette di servire in un posto dove puoi trovare persone del genere!
-Stavamo insegnando una lezione l'altro giorno e il gatto della signora stava molto male. Giaceva per terra e poi ha emanato un suono strano ed è diventato immobile. Io ho detto "Mamma mia, Sorella Rimbert, il suo gatto è appena morto di fronte a noi" ahahah era così strano. La signora non ci aveva neanche fatto caso, ha detto solo "Oh sì, il gatto sta male" e volevo dirle " Mmm, mi dipiace darle la notizia ma è MORTO". Bei tempi...
Questa settimana è stata buona ma anche un po' triste perché abbiamo dovuto mettere diversi simpatizzanti in "archivio"! E altri ci hanno lasciato perché non sono più interessati. Il nostro numero di simpatizzanti è alquanto ridotto al momento ma c'est pas grave (non fa niente), se abbiamo fede troveremo quelli che hanno bisogno di noi! Una cosa che ho imparato sicuramente in missione è di non scoraggiarci facilmente e di non mollare. Come l'inno che dice "Dalla tua parte c'è il Signor!".
