Weekly Email 61: "We're just normal fish"

So new transfer new companion!
My new companion is Soeur Rimbert from PARIS! Her mom is from Africa and her dad is from France and she's super cool!! We have a lot of fun together! She's been out 9 months and is back on Tahiti after serving on Huahine for 7 months. I had to teach her how to drive automatic her first day haha she was so used to driving manual she kept putting her hand on the stick and I said "you're already in drive! don't touch that!', every time we sped up or stopped at a stop sign. But I think we'll be together for at least 2 transfers which is really awesome. I am totally going to Paris after the mission to go shopping and hang out with her!
So this week we were talking to a group of people our age and I said "yeah we're just normal people!" but one of the guys thought I said "we're just normal fish". Ok alors. I guess personne and poisson kind of sound similar?
Also someone this week told us "you two are anti-christs, it's just logical". Ok then? Haters gon hate
Today our pday is getting cut again mais c'est pas grave. It's a small sacrifice to be able to go to the temple again so soon! We got permission to go since Soeur Rimbert hasn't been able to go to the temple for 8 months. Wednesday we were in the genealogy room at the chapel and the guy in charge found a bunch of family names for Soeur Rimbert to take to the temple. She hasn't been able to find those names before so she just started crying. I got teary eyed too, the Spirit was SO strong. There was definitely something there. That really boosted my testimony and got me pumped to look more at my ancestors, because I've definitely neglected that!
This week was stressful! A lot of things fell through and I was a little stressed trying to come up with good back up plans, since Soeur Rimbert is new she can't really help me with that yet. But even with all the things that didn't go as planned, we saw a lot of blessings and miracles! We had an ami come to a primary baptism and come to church for the first time, and it went so well! And we have a 9 year old ami that we invited to get baptized several times, but he kept saying no. Yesterday after church he came up to us and said "When can I get baptized? I want to be baptized!". Miracles! We have 4 fixed baptisms right now, which is all thanks to Heavenly Father!
At the end of the week you can't even remember the moments when you were sad, discouraged, or stressed, just the good things! And there are so many good things to see if you just focus on the positive!
I love Mahina so much and feel so blessed to be here! It's gonna be a good transfer!

Allora nuovo trasferimento, nuova collega!
La mia nuova collega è Sorella Rimbert di PARIGI! Sua madre è africana e suo padre è francese e lei è fortissima!! Ci divertiamo un sacco insieme! È in missione da 9 mesi ed è tornata a Tahiti dopo aver servito a Huahine per 7 mesi. Ho dovuto insegnarle a guidare con il cambio automatico il primo giorno ahah era così abituata al cambio manuale che metteva sempre la mano sul cambio e io le dicevo "Sei già nella marcia giusta! Non lo toccare!", ogni volta che acceleravamo o ci fermavamo ad uno stop. Ma penso che staremo insieme per almeno due trasferimenti il che è davvero eccezionale. Voglio andare per forza a Parigi dopo la missione per fare spese e passare del tempo con lei!
Allora questa settimana stavamo parlando a un gruppo di persone della nostra età e io ho detto "Sì, siamo proprio persone normali!" ma uno dei ragazzi ha pensato che avessi detto "Siamo proprio pesci normali". Ok, allora. Presumo che "personne" e "poisson" suonino quasi allo stesso modo?
Inoltre qualcuno questa settimana ci ha detto "Voi siete anti-Cristo, è proprio logico". Ah, vero? Chi odia continuerà a farlo.
Oggi il nostro pday è stato accorciato di nuovo ma non fa niente. È un piccolo sacrificio per poter andare di nuovo al tempio così subito! Abbiamo avuto il permesso di andare poiché Sorella Rimbert non è potuta andare al tempio per 8 mesi. Mercoledì eravamo nella stanza della genealogia in cappella e il fratello incaricato ha trovato diversi nomi di famiglia di Sorella Rimbert da portare al tempio. Non era riuscita a trovare questi nomi prima così ha cominciato a piangere. Sono venute le lacrime agli occhi anche a me, lo Spirito era TALMENTE forte. C'era definitivamente qualcosa lì. Ciò ha sicuramente rafforzato la mia testimonianza e ha ravvivato in me il desiderio di cercare più informazioni sui miei antenati, perché ho effettivamente mancato di farlo!
Questa settimana è stata stressante! Un sacco di cose sono venute meno e mi sono un po' stressata nel cercare qualcosa che funzionasse come piano secondario dal momento che Sorella Rimbert è nuova e non poteva di conseguenza aiutarmi molto in questo. Ma anche con tutte le cose che non sono andate come programmato, abbiamo visto un sacco di benedizioni e miracoli! Abbiamo avuto un simpatizzante che è venuto al battesimo della primaria ed è venuto in chiesa per la prima volta ed è andata così bene!! E abbiamo un investigatore di 9 anni che abbiamo invitato a battezzarsi diverse volte ma che ha sempre risposto di no. Ieri, dopo la chiesa, è venuto da noi e ha detto " Quando mi posso battezzare? Voglio farmi battezzare!" Miracoli! Abbiamo 4 battesimi programmati ora, il che è grazie al Padre Celeste!
Alla fine della settimana non si riesce nemmeno a ricordare i momenti in cui si era tristi, scoraggiati o stressati, solo i momenti buoni! E ci sono tante buone cose da vedere se soltanto si focalizza sul positivo!
Amo molto Mahina e mi sento così benedetta a stare qui! Sarà un buon trasferimento!
