Weekly Email 56: Magical Mahina

It's been another amazing week here in Mahina!! So for the past 2 transfers before I got here the soeurs of Mahina were doing the secteurs of Mahina and Matavai at once, which are both huge secteurs. So Mahina was a little neglected, it's hard to balance two secteurs! But now we're back in Mahina full-time, but really needed new amis. My first week we were able to find 5 new amis really easily! And God has been helping us SO much this past week too!
Friday two of our lessons fell through, but we just spent the time talking to everyone we saw. We were able to meet and fix lessons with eleven new people for next week!! The people we've met are so receptive and so willing which is crazy, I've never been able to find new amis this easily! Don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of people who say no and can be rude about it. But there's way more people who've said yes to us than no!
Saturday we were supposed to have lessons with 3 new amis, but they all fell through. Me and Sr Kohl were sad because we were on track to meet our goal for new amis for the week, but now we would be one short. We had worked so hard! We only had 50 minutes left in the day to meet our goal, and it was our last chance to find new people for the week because it was Saturday night. We just prayed super hard and trusted God would lead us to someone. And He did! It took a lot of knocking on random people's doors but we did it! I'm grateful for all those lessons that fell through Friday and Saturday because as a result we were able to find so many new amis. This just proves to me that Heavenly Father really always does have a plan!
I am grateful to be in Mahina, there's a lot of things to be happy about! God is seriously showering us with blessings and little miracles, and I know it's because we are working hard. Sometimes I still miss the people at Papeete A LOT and that's hard, but I know it's important for me to be here. I am excited for the future!
The gospel of Jesus Christ is seriously SO amazing! And SO important! Make it a part of your life!!!

È stata un'altra settimana fantastica qui a Mahina!! Durante gli ultimi 2 trasferimenti le Sorelle di Mahina stavano facendo i settori di Mahina e Matavai contemporaneamente, che sono entrambi settori enormi. Così Mahina è stata un po' trascurata, è difficile bilanciare due settori! Ma ora siamo di nuovo a Mahina a tempo pieno, anche se avevamo bisogno di nuovi simpatizzanti. Durante la mia prima settimana qui abbiamo potuto trovare 5 nuovi simpatizzanti davvero facilmente! E Dio ci ha anche aiutato COSÌ tanto quest'ultima settimana!
Venerdì due delle nostre lezioni sono venute meno, ma abbiamo allora impiegato il tempo a parlare con tutti quelli che vedevamo. Abbiamo potuto incontrare e fissare lezioni con undici persone nuove per la settimana successiva!! Le persone che abbiamo incontrato sono così ricettive e volenterose il che è pazzesco, non sono mai riuscita a trovare simpatizzanti così velocemente! Non fraintendetemi, ci sono sempre molte persone che dicono di no e che possono anche farlo sgarbatamente. Ma ci sono molte più persone che hanno detto di sì piuttosto che di no!
Sabato dovevamo fare delle lezioni a 3 nuovi simpatizzanti, ma tutte sono venute meno. Io e Sorella Kohl eravamo tristi perché eravamo sulla buona strada per raggiungere il nostro obiettivo di avere nuovi simpatizzanti per quella settimana, ma ora ce ne mancava uno. Avevamo lavorato così tanto!! C'erano rimasti solo 50 minuti quel giorno per raggiungere il nostro obiettivo e quella era l'ultima occasione di trovare nuove persone per la settimana in quanto era sabato sera. Abbiamo pregato con tutto il nostro fervore e abbiamo confidato che Dio ci avrebbe condotto da qualcuno. E l'ha fatto! Abbiamo dovuto bussare a tante porte a caso ma ce l'abbiamo fatta! Sono grata per tutte quelle lezioni che sono venute meno venerdì e sabato perché come conseguenza abbiamo potuto trovare tanti nuovi simpatizzanti. Questo mi dimostra che il Padre Celeste ha davvero sempre un piano!
Sono grata di stare a Mahina, ci sono molte cose di cui essere felice! Dio ci sta seriamente coprendo di benedizioni e piccoli miracoli e so che è perché stiamo lavorando sodo. A volte mi mancano ancora le persone di Pape'ete UN SACCO e quello è difficile ma so che è importante per me essere qui. Sono emozionata per il futuro!
Il vangelo di Gesù Cristo è davvero COSÌ stupendo! E COSÌ importante! Fatelo diventare una parte della vostra vita!!!
