Weekly Email 23: Island Hopping
Hello!!
Today we got to fly to Raiatea for p-day and hang out with the whole zone because the elders from Tahaa came too! We were supposed to do this cool hike where you can go see a flower that ONLY grows on Raiatea, it’s so rare, but then it rained :( so instead we just hung out and played games all together, but it was still fun! It’s just fun being with other missionaries and getting to see the zone again after a month! Also tomorrow is Zone Conference so we get 2 days all together!
But being on Raiatea means I have no time to email also I’m writing on an iPad which is hard, so I can’t send any pictures til next week! Also I logged into my email and had 153 emails to look through since I had no time last week but like I said no time today either, so I’ll just have to wait until next week to write people back!
But TEANUANUA GOT BAPTIZED SATURDAY AND IT WAS SO AWESOME! His family was really touched, I hope this helps his parents want to be active again. Also his 12 year old cousin wants to start the lessons!
The STLs came too for a split on Tuesday and it was so fun!! I love my zone so much, it’s too bad we all serve on different islands!
It was another busy week of lessons and recontacting and I loved it! I’m having the time of my life on Huahine! Sadly the transfer is almost over (how do 6 weeks go by so fast????) and Friday are transfer calls. I have a feeling I’m getting transferred! It’s going to be hard to leave because I’ve been here 4 months and love it so much. It will be sad to leave the island and people and my companion, who will probably finish her mission here because she only has 3 months left! BUT there is a chance I could get transferred to Pape’ete and be SOEUR BREADY’s companion!!!!!!!!! I would be SO happy if that happened, I haven’t seen her in way too long! We’ll see what God has in store, I trust his plan 100%!

Salve!!
Oggi abbiamo preso l'aereo per Raiatea per il p-day e abbiamo passato la giornata con tutta la zona perché sono anche venuti gli anziani da Tahaa! Dovevamo fare questa bell'escursione per andare a vedere un fiore che cresce SOLO a Raiatea, è molto raro, ma poi ha piovuto :( Così invece abbiamo solo passato il tempo insieme e abbiamo fatto dei giochi, ma è stato comunque divertente! È proprio divertente stare con gli altri missionari e poter vedere la zona di nuovo dopo un mese! Inoltre domani c'è la Conferenza di Zona così possiamo passare due giorni tutti insieme!
Ma essere a Raiatea significa che non ho tempo per gli email e poi sto scrivendo con un iPad il che è difficile, così non posso mandare foto fino alla prossima settimana! Inoltre quando ho aperto la posta elettronica ho trovato 153 email da leggere poiché non ho avuto tempo la settimana scorsa ma come ho detto non ho tempo neanche oggi, così dovrò per forza aspettare la settimana prossima per rispondere alle persone!
Ma TEANUANUA SI È BATTEZZATO SABATO ED È STATO FANTASTICO! La sua famiglia è rimasta molto colpita, spero che questo aiuti i suoi genitori a tornare attivi. Inoltre suo cugino di 12 anni vuole iniziare le lezioni!
Le Sister Training Leaders (Sorelle Dirigenti Addestratrici) sono venute martedì scorso ed è stato così divertente!! Amo così tanto la mia zona, peccato che serviamo su isole differenti!
È stata un'altra settimana piena di lezioni e di persone ricontattate e mi è piaciuta molto! Sto trascorrendo il tempo migliore della mia vita a Huahine! Putroppo il trasferimento è quasi finito (come possono passare così in fretta sei settimane???) e venerdì ci saranno i trasferimenti. Ho la sensazione che verrò trasferita! Sarà difficile partire perché sono qui da 4 mesi e amo questo posto tantissimo. Sarà triste lasciare l'isola e le persone e la mia collega che probabilmente finirà la sua missione qui perché le sono rimasti solo 3 mesi! MA c'è una possibilità che possa venir trasferita a Pape'ete ed essere la collega di SOEUR BREADY!!!!!!!! Sarei COSÌ felice se ciò avvenisse, non la vedo da tanto tempo! Vedremo quello che Dio ha in serbo, mi fido dei suoi piani al 100%!
Finisco quest'email con una citazione di Terahiti, un bambino di 10 anni: "Durante la sua vita Gesù ha fatto un sacco di cose, come insegnare alle persone a costruire gli aereoplani."
Alla prossima settimana! Fortunatamente dovrei avere molto tempo lunedì prossimo!
