Weekly Email 75: Living on a Dream!

I can sum up this week by saying: Papeari is awesome!!! The work is going so well and it's all thanks to the wonderful members who help us with our lessons and help us find new amis. I am so happy here! It is literally paradise. One day me and Sr Siri and I were doing our studies at the beach, I just looked up and saw a rainbow over the ocean and I just felt so grateful to be serving in such an amazing place!! I seriously thank God everyday for sending me here. Also when I did a split with Sr Guthrie we sang the hymn "I Know that My Redeemer Lives" to some woman at the beach. The view was GORGEOUS and singing such a cool hymn in French and Tahitian, with alto and soprano, it was just the coolest moment ever! I just feel so grateful to be here.
This week we talked a lot about service, it really just is a wonderful thing. Christ's life was all about serving others. The world really would be a better place if everyone tried to be more like Him. I read a quote this week that I really like that said "Be involved in the world in a positive way and be a powerful force for good". Service is amazing and through it we can forget our problems and find real joy. There's no better feeling to know that you're helping God by helping one of His children in need.
This week two of our lessons fell through which was disappointing, but then we ended up finding 3 new amis that we wouldn't have found otherwise! And one was such a crazy coincidence but actually was just God helping us out ;) His plan is perfect!

Posso riassumere questa settimana dicendo: Papeari è favolosa!!! Il lavoro va bene ed è tutto grazie ai meravigliosi membri che ci aiutano con le lezioni e che ci aiutano a trovare nuovi simpatizzanti. Sono così felice qui! È letteralmente paradiso. Un giorno io e Sorella Siri stavamo studiando in spiaggia, ho sollevato appena lo sguardo e ho visto un arcobaleno sopra l'oceano e mi sono sentita così grata di servire in un posto così splendido!!! Ringrazio seriamente Dio ogni giorno per avermi mandato qui. Inoltre quando ho fatto uno scambio con Sorella Guthrie abbiamo cantato l'inno" Io so che vive il Redentor" ad una donna sulla spiaggia. La vista era SPLENDIDA e cantare un così bell'inno in francese e taitiano, con la parte sia da soprano che da contralto, è stata davvero la cosa più bella! Mi sono sentita così grata di essere qui.
Questa settimana abbiamo parlato molto del servizio, è davvero una cosa meravigliosa. La vita di Cristo è stata tutta incentrata a servire gli altri. Il mondo sarebbe davvero un posto migliore se ognuno cercasse di essere di più come Lui. Ho letto una citazione questa settimana che mi piace molto e che diceva "Siate impegnati nel mondo in maniera positiva e siate una forza potente per il bene". Il servizio è incredibile e attraverso esso possiamo dimenticare i nostri problemi e trovare la vera gioia. Non c'è migliore sensazione di sapere che stiamo aiutando Dio aiutando uno dei suoi figli nel bisogno.
Questa settimana due delle nostre lezioni sono venute meno il che è stato deludente ma poi abbiamo trovato 3 nuovi simpatizzanti che non avremmo trovato diversamente! E una è stata una tale coincidenza pazzesca ma in realtà è stato solo Dio che ci stava aiutando ;) Il suo piano è perfetto!
Amo la mia missione e amo la Polinesia Francese! Cosa c'è di nuovo?
